Amy Carlson
Amy Lynn Carlson (born July 7, 1968) is an American actress who is known for her role in the roles of Linda Reagan in the CBS police procedural Blue Bloods as well as Alex Taylor on the NBC drama Third Watch, and Josie Watts in the NBC daytime soap drama Another World.
Childhood and early life
Carlson was born in Elmhurst in Illinois [[DuPage County Illinois near Chicago. She was raised in Glen Ellyn in Illinois by her parents, Robert Eugene Carlson and Barbara Jane (Hultman), teachers at school. She is of Swedish descent, but has roots in Smaland.
Career
1986-1992: College and beginning of careers
She was first introduced to Hollywood through her performance as a background actress in the movie Lucas with Charlie Sheen (Corey Haim) and Winona Ryder. She then followed her elder sister Betsy who attended Knox College in Galesburg.
