Allyson Felix

Allyson Michelle Felix was born in Los Angeles on November 18 1985. The father of the child, Paul Felix is an ordained Minister in the Master's Seminary, Sun Valley. As for her mother, Marlean Felix is a teacher at Balboa Magnet Primary School. Felix was aware that she was gifted for running when attending Los Angeles Baptist High School. Just 10 weeks after her initial tryout, she placed third in the 200-meter race in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix, who graduated high school in 2003 signed the sports contract with Adidas. Then she was accepted into at the University of Southern California and completed her studies in elementary education. Felix received her first Olympic gold medal during the Athens Summer Olympics 2004. Felix broke a junior-world record of running the 200m in 22.18. At the 2005 Helsinki World Championships, Felix became the youngest winner in the world for running 200m. In 2007, she was able to defend her title by beating Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix had a steady performance in Beijing, London Rio de Janeiro and Tokyo. She consistently placed within the top three places of all events.
